Brian Frank

Brian Frank - President and Chief Executive Officer 

Brian Frank joined TimberWest as President and Chief Executive Officer on May 2, 2012. Mr. Frank comes to TimberWest with an extensive background in the natural resources industry at the executive level, most recently as the Chief Executive of Global Oil Europe and Finance for BP in London, England. Mr. Frank has also recently held the positions of President, BP Energy Company in Houston, Texas, and President and CEO of BP Canada Energy Company in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to joining BP, Mr. Frank spent ten years at Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa and as such has the benefit of extensive private and public sector experience.

Warren Beach

Warren Beach - Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Warren Beach joined TimberWest as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer in January 2013. Warren is an accomplished financial executive with over 22 years of experience in senior financial roles. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President Finance, CFO and Corporate Secretary for Sierra Systems.  He has also held senior financial positions with Sauder Industries and Glenayre Manufacturing. Warren is a Chartered Accountant and articled with Ernst & Young in Vancouver. He currently serves on the Cabinet of the United Way.

Anna Fung

Anna Fung - Vice President Legal & General Counsel 
Ms. Fung serves as Vice President, Legal & General Counsel at TimberWest Forest Corp. Most recently she was Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Intrawest ULC from 2009 to 2011. Prior to Intrawest, she served as Senior Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Terasen Inc.. She was an elected Bencher of the BC Law Society for 10 years and its President in 2007. She also served as President of the Association of Chinese Canadian Professionals (B.C.), President of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association and Chair of the People’s Law School. In 2004, she received the RVA Jones Canadian Corporate Counsel Award for her contributions to the corporate counsel community. In 2007, she received both the CBA (BC Branch) Equality and Diversity Award and the Vancouver YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the Business & Professions category. In April, 2012, she received the UBC Law Alumni Award of Distinction. Ms. Fung is fluently bilingual in English and French and also speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and Spanish.

Domenico Iannidinardo

Domenico Iannidinardo - Vice President, Sustainability and Chief Forester
Domenico started in the timberlands division of one of TimberWest’s predecessors in 1996 and worked in harvest planning roles at TimberWest operations and also for Western Forest Products Inc. before joining TimberWest’s Environment & Resource Integration group in 2005. Domenico is a director of the Marmot Recovery Foundation and the Private Forest Landowners Association, and is Chair of the Canadian Association of Forest Owners. Domenico is an active proponent of high professional standards and holds degrees in forest operations and business administration. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Forestry, the President of the Association of Professional Biology and is a Registered Professional Forester, Biologist and Engineer.

 

John Kelvin - Executive Vice President, International Marketing & Business Development
John Kelvin has more than 25 years experience in the forestry industry in BC. Mr. Kelvin joined TimberWest Forest Corp. at its inception in 1997, and heads up the log marketing and sales department. In 1977, Mr. Kelvin began his career with one of TimberWest’s predecessor companies, Crown Zellerbach, as an Assistant Inventory Forester. He also worked for Crown Forest Industries, Fletcher Challenge Canada, and TimberWest Forest Ltd. in increasingly senior management positions. Mr. Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia. He is also a member of the Association of BC Professional Foresters.

Jan Marston

Jan Marston - Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate
Jan Marston joined TimberWest as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate on July 23, 2012. Jan is an accomplished executive with considerable experience in human resources, governance and project management. Prior to establishing her own consulting business in 2011, Jan spent fourteen years with Terasen Gas/Fortis BC Inc., where she held a variety of executive positions in Customer Care, Human Resources, Marketing and Gas Supply. She also served as President of Inland Pacific Energy Services. Prior to joining Terasen, Jan was Director, Marketing & Business Development for Sceptre Resources and Manager, Marketing for AMOCO Canada. Jan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University and is a Certified Director.

John Mitchell

John Mitchell - Vice President, Evaluations and Alternative Investments
John Mitchell has 26 years of experience in the British Columbia forest industry. Mr. Mitchell commenced employment with TimberWest in 1996 and has held various management and senior management positions, including Chief Forester and Director - Environment and Sustainability, Operations Manager, Planning Manager and Manager, Operations Analysis and Harvest Support. Prior to joining TimberWest, John held various forestry engineering positions with Fletcher Challenge, Crown Forest Industries, Whonnock Industries and B.C. Forest Products. Mr. Mitchell is a Registered Professional Forester and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of British Columbia and a Certificate in Executive Management from Simon Fraser University – Segal Graduate School of Business. 

 

Dave Whiteley - Vice President, Timberland Operations

Dave Whiteley was appointed VP of Timberland Operations in June 2007. He joined TimberWest in 1998 when the Company purchased Pacific Forest Products, where he had worked since 1984. Mr. Whiteley held a variety of operational positions with Pacific. Since joining TimberWest, he has worked in increasingly senior positions including Superintendent; General Manager, North Island; and General Manager, Operations. Mr. Whiteley holds a Diploma in Forestry from Malaspina College and a Diploma in Business Administration from BCIT.
