TimberWest takes pride in contributing to the economic and social well being of the communities where we operate and where our employees live.
The objective of TimberWest’s donations program is to:
- Support organizations and projects that improve the quality of life in communities and regions where TimberWest operates;
- Encourage community-minded efforts of employees;
- Foster public understanding of forest issues.
Eligibility
Grants are made to non-profit organizations and preference will be given to those organizations which have been granted a charitable registration number by the Canada Revenue Agency. Grants may be made to federated organizations or combined campaigns (such as United Way). The company, however, will not award direct grants for general support to organizations receiving support through an umbrella group or trade association already receiving company funding.
Eligible projects and activities include education and youth, civic and community improvement, the environment, culture and arts, amateur sports and health and wellness organizations.

Applications for donation can be made by downloading the TimberWest Grant Application (20KB PDF) form, and mailing the completed form to the attention of "Donation Request" at the following address:

Processing Your Request
The TimberWest Community Relations Department will make every effort to process your donation application in a timely manner. Requests will be acknowledged as soon as possible however a decision on a request may take 4-6 weeks. All decisions made by the TimberWest Community Relations Department are final.

Please Note - Salmon Enhancement Activities:
TimberWest has a five-year agreement with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to invest $350,000 in improving salmon habitat in streams located on TW's private lands. The Foundation will manage salmon habitat restoration and enhancement projects supported by company funding. Requests for funding that fall within this area will be forwarded to the Pacific Salmon Foundation for consideration
